The Penny Jumper is worked from the bottom up in stockinette stitch. The edges are created with a 1x1 twisted rib. The work begins with the body in the round. The stitches are then divided to knit the front and back separately, back and forth. The rounded neckline and sloped shoulders are shaped with a Sloped Bind-Off technique. Following this, the shoulders are sewn together. Stitches are then picked up along the armhole, and the sleeves are worked in the round. Short rows are applied to ensure a good fit for the sleeves. In the end, stitches are picked up and knitted to work the neckline in the round in a 1x1 twisted rib, which is then folded and sewn in place. The construction and unique details of the Penny Jumper result in a polished, well-fitted silhouette.
